Keeping Muscle and Burning Off Fat – Doing Things The Right Way
A very curious and fascinating aspect to burning fat and not muscle is how your body reacts to the different things thrown at it. For example, some people think they have to get rid of all dietary fat intake, and so they eat nothing but very lean and fat free foods. There is a sudden drop in the amount of fat they consume.
When it comes to keeping muscle and burning fat there are two main components. Firstly you have to approach your diet in a way that's serious. However it's also important to not get rid of them completely. You can take advantage of a certain type of carbohydrate found in vegetables and fruits. Once they've been consumed, your body will use them for energy instead of fat storage, so you won't gain fat.

Next is your workout routine that must also be just right for a lot of reasons. However it's important to not rid your diet of them completely. Some carbohydrates that are found in fruits and vegetables can be taken advantage of. When they are consumed your body will metabolize them for energy and not convert them into fat. Most people know full well the effects of doing a starvation or no fat diet. A few misinformed folk out there actually believe that fats shouldn't be consumed each day. Fat loss will be a rare occurrence if you take this approach. The body is smart and it'll realize that there's no more fat intake, so it'll start to conserve fat. So the little trick here is to make the body or brain believe there's no need for any fat. It is much like the opposite effect of the starvation mechanism. When your body decides it does not need it, then it will not act to conserve it. Instead, your body will feel free to burn the fat but not the muscle.
Here we have a very old bit of wisdom that has been floating around for a good amount of time. But quite surprisingly it's something that not many people know about, and it'll truly change the eating habits you have. Eat at a slow rate and try to chew your food a number of times. There's a twenty minute time lag between your stomach getting full and your brain knowing it is.
So of course if you eat quickly, then that throws everything out of kilter, and you will be eating long after you should be. If you chew your food thoroughly you'll reduce the chance of getting indigestion. Plus, your saliva contains enzymes, which will have more time to start the process of digestion, before the food reaches the stomach.
